What a week!

Last week was a rough one!  I didn’t have time to do much of anything other than WORK.  I hardly had time to use the rest room!  I managed to get three workouts out in which only one was on my own.  I had no time for my food log or blog.  There just aren’t enough hours in the day.  I was really drained and had no energy last week for anything.  I really need to kick ass in my workouts this week.  Pushups were much more of a struggle than they have been in a while.  Hopefully, it won’t be like that this week.  I hate when I feel like I have no strength.

The workouts with Terri really helped me to relax!  She started showing me yoga moves and to my surprise I am actually liking it.  It is much harder than it seems.  I am really looking forward to learning more about yoga and adding it into my workout routine!

Soooooo Sore!!

I can’t walk today!  I trained with Terri on Tuesday night and it is now Thursday.  I guess it takes a full day for your body to realize the pain it was put through.  I have been wobbling around all day! I suppose it has something to do with the 100 lunges and 300 crunches I did!!!!  Ya looking forward to tonight…hahaha!

Cold Weather Blues

I have been so lazy lately.  Apparently, I still feel like I am on vacation.  I have not wanted to workout or do my food log at all!  Lately I have this feeling of just wanting to go home and put on my fuzzy slippers and lounge around.  This could be why every year around this time I take a break and grow a second ass!   NOT THIS YEAR!!!  I am determined to fight through it!

I say that as I am sitting here and eating some m&ms..lol..hey its Halloween!

I am glad I have Terri to help me push through the winter blues.  Leaving work in the dark and knowing that I have to go and work out is a bit tough but I know its worth it.  I still look forward to getting home after training and putting on my fuzzy slippers though! :-)

Back from vacation…

Wow, three weeks flew by!  I was on vacation for two weeks and then I had an extra week of getting back into the NY life again.  I haven’t been feeling well so tonight will be my first night back with Terri.  I am excited to get on the move again.  I was feeling so good and confident with myself before I went on vacation.  And I was afraid I was going to ruin it all.  But to my surprise, I ate whatever I wanted and felt great!  I still felt good in my bathing suit and jeans.   I wasn’t crazy that I was going to ruin all my hard work.  I just relaxed and had a great time.  It was a nice feeling.  I know once I was back in NY it would be back to work like always.  Terri was right, you train hard so you can relax for a week or two and not have to worry about it.  Although, I know she wouldn’t be praising the burgers, fries and ice cream I ate..lol.  Hopefully, I didn’t do too much damage! :-0

Vacation Fun For Client E!

Client E is off for two whole weeks on vacation. We’ll see how she handled it and whether any damage was done to make me work extra hard when she gets back! I’m thinking she’s got a muuuuch better perspective to work with now, so I’m going to be pretty psyched to see her when she gets back.

25 and Clueless….

I believe I started training with Terri for a reason. She has taught me so much in the last couple of months. I started training with her to get to the next level of fitness but didn’t realize I needed her advice and experience mentally as well. She has opened my mind to many different aspects of my life. Terri not only teaches you how to exercise and diet she also teaches you that you are the only one that can control your life and your happiness.

Training has been going great. We started boxing which is a nice change and a great workout. I still hate those pushups but I am realizing that I hate them around my 20th rep instead of my eighth :-). I definitely feel that I have gotten stronger and I look forward to every session to challenge myself. I am starting to feel that my mind and body are getting in tuned with one another and I am starting to see changes which is exciting. I am able to focus better and work through harder exercises without giving it too much thought. I went through a whole workout with Terri last night and not once did I say to myself that I couldn’t do this. I just did it!

I am noticing that each and everyday you break through a wall and learn more about yourself than you had realized. I have a lot yet to learn and experience. Someday I hope to have it all figured out but for now being 25 sucks!

Wrong Turn

Terri takes one week off and I make a complete u-turn! In my previous blog I said I was going to do no carbs before a wedding. That lasted all of 5 days and returned to Terri telling me that I am nuts! I realize it isn’t what I should be doing or trying to look for quick fixes. I guess I had an insanity moment. I am back to normal now..lol I have to stick with what I am doing and try to keep things consistent so I don’t go down the wrong path again.

August 29

o Terri is on vacation this week and I am on my own!! Two weeks until I am in a wedding so there can’t be any slacking off! I figured since I am not training with Terri this week I am going to cut out bread and only have fruit and veggies as a source of carbs. I need all the energy I can get on the days that I train with Terri.

Day two is going great so far. I took a spin class yesterday and today I did upper body with intervals of running for 3 minutes in between. I was sweating! I have to tell you that it was very hard today to drag my ass to the gym in this lovely NY weather but once I got myself there I was ready to workout.

I am hoping to just get the bloat out by the time the wedding comes. Hopefully it works!!!

Great Workout

I did some more boxing drills with Terri last night and they really kicked my ass! I hadn’t received my boxing gloves yet so we couldn’t get into it too much. I can tell just from the drills that it is going to be a great workout and I probably will be cursing the whole way through it. I am looking forward to learning more next week. Terri really knows her stuff!

I am proud of myself that I worked out all five days this week and stuck with my 4 egg whites for breakfast…YUM! I see that Terri snuck some workouts into my calendar :-)~. Unfortunately, I won’t be around all weekend but Sunday I might be able to sneak a workout in somewhere. On Monday though its back to the gym! Oh, but lets not forget that its still egg whites all weekend long!
