The end of 2007

Well, whoever is reading out there…Just want to let you know that I was strong enough to go to the gym every other day this week and follow Terri’s fitness routine that she has taught me. When I leave the gym, I feel stronger and younger not to mention that I receive my first compliments about my body. I cannot believe myself, but that’s because I’ve seen myself every single day of my life and do not realize the changes. Walking up my four flights in my apartment complex feels like a joke now-I’m not even out of breath.
I love my fitness routine and am encouraged to try it more often on my own. However, I miss working out with Terri. I’m counting the days when she will push me hard enough only to reach the next level of my fitness goals.

Happy New 2008! Don’t make promises - turn them into reality!

Merry X-mas!

Well, it’s Christmas Day and I managed to keep fit over the Holiday rush. I didn’t overdo the savoring meals nor did I slugg in my workout. Over the last few days, I broke such sweat at the gym-I didn’t think I could steam like that. Felt like a new-born afterwards thanks to Terri’s personalized workout plan. Over the holidays, I increased the repetitions of my push-ups and can’t wait till tomorrow when I get back together with Terri. I feel extremely strong and capable to achieve my fitness goals.

Happy Holidays to all of you!!!

Dragging to the gym

After another positive, insightful and accomplished session with Terri, I am working on my motivation to go to the gym myself. I am hoping for two more times before I see Terri. Luckily, I have the luxury to have all the time in the world. I think the hardest thing is always to get dressed and just go to the gym. Once at the gym, I feel that I have to make the best out of my time in order not to waste it. I’m planning on going today or tomorrow. Will let you know of my experience afterwards. For those that need some motivation, I am always thrilled when I feel every single muscle from my soreness after working out. My body stays alive.
Ciao, have a good workout!

Breaking a wall

This week, Terri pushed me clearly to the next level. I had to stay strong during our workout session especially being only 25 minutes into the session.
When I hit the bench for some step-ups accompanied with dumbbells in each hand, I thought that I was going to die.
Here’s when I learnt to switch off my brain and leave diverse obsessions behind while I work out. To make a decision and sticking to it, is what made me get through the rest of the session. Thanks to Terri’s persistence and patience, I felt like in seventh heaven 15 minutes later.
I fought the old habit and the sleepy muscles telling me that I couldn’t do it and showed them differently.
This session was an epiphany since I know now that making the decision to do x-amount of reps with any kind of burden IS DOABLE and I will show off my results in the next session with Terri. Can’t wait to see her again.

Hello world!

I came to New York seven years ago. Even though I was always very committed to working out and a semi-healthy lifestyle, I found myself to be weighing the same weight as when I first came here. Needless to say too much to feel comfortable in my skin.
Over the last six years I lost an approx. 30-35 lbs.-and all that is back on…
I am very happy to work with Terri ’cause I have the faith that this time, I’m going to lose it and keep it off.
