The day is too short…

…that’s what I would have said before I met Terri - and another day, another week, another month would go by. When in fact, I learned that I have to make time for certain things, such as working out. To my dislike, I want to train myself to get up and work out in the morning before the other big challenges of the day. So far, it didn’t work out at all. I’m sleeping like a baby - 10 hours or so every night. I wake up just on time to get ready for my professional day. But that has got to stop. I’m planning to go to bed by midnight. I want to hit the gym tomorrow at 8a.m. I have to because not only is there a spinning class, but also no more time in my schedule afterwards. If I cannot make, I will lose another possible day of working towards my goal. So wish me good luck and hopefully you’ll hear from me afterwards. Sweet dreams…dreaming of my strong WILL and DEDICATION.

Depressing weekend

It’s another weekend amidst winter in New York City. Today, it’s even snowing and the wind chill is unbearable. I was planning on going to the gym, but I found myself too lazy to follow up on. In fact, I am only guilty because I had too many carbs yesterday. Overall, I worked out three times this week - reasonably. I am striving for four times a week, but don’t feel like going today.
Most importantly, working out is about consistency. So whether I go four times one week or three times another week - it DOES NOT MATTER. It is all about CONSISTENCY.
So I’m going to lay off and enjoy tonight’s Grammy’s show. Working out with Terri tomorrow - I will work extra hard.

It doesn’t take so much

Here’s for all those that thought that obsessing over working out and its quantity would bring you to your goal faster. I worked my lower body the other day and really didn’t do it excessively. The following day, I felt a nice soreness around my hamstrings and my butt. It amazed me how much it affected my body even though I didn’t kill myself working out.
And for the record: I was in and out of the gym in less than an hour. What positive insight.
