Hey there people….I havent had a chance to blog much in the past couple of months. ALOT has gone on. I wrapped up my work with People Magazine Half Their Size 2009 at the end of June 2009.
My husband and I moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn, as our neighborhood had just become too much of a ‘mall-like’ feeling for us. The SoHo we loved has changed into something else, and while that’s fine, we like so many others have had to find our NYC in Brooklyn. We have and it’s absolutely wonderful! Our new neighborhood is a beautiful picturesque leafy nook of meticulously maintained brownstones and early 18th century mansion-esque architecture. We’re close to a park and an organic farmers market, and I’m only 15 min from Manhattan.
Next…a bit of dealing with health issues. Fibroids. Just about every single woman knows what they are, how awful they are, and suffice it to say, I’m recovering nicely from having them removed. I wont go into detail. Girls, I’m sure you are with me, you know, and that’s enough. If you want to know how I handled them please email me.
And on the radar, is another studio move. I moved my studio to a temporary sublet on the edge of SoHo, that’s working out nicely. I’m looking for permanent space in the meantime, which means I’m having a great time investigating tons of opportunities. There are options everywhere, and I’m confident wherever I land will enable me to keeping whipping cheesy butts into shape.
Health Care Reform: Without a public option to create competition, it’s a wash folks. Business as usual. So speak up by emailing, writing or calling your congress people.
I’ll be blogging a bit more as since I’ve separated my live/work situation, I’ve been able to schedule and compartmentalize things much better. Live/work is great, but after awhile, you do need to be able to split the two and doing so has increased my productivity and focus. Even more. bwahahahaha. Look out world!
